Raw Footage - Filming For 'Equinox' Completed

Here are some examples of the raw footage I have filmed at various locations, including Cliveden House.

The first series of shots are establishing shots filmed on the way to Cliveden House. The early morning light was perfect and it was quiet, so I filmed a series of establishing shots of scenes of nature which I thought would be appropriate for the folk horror genre and my specific storyline in 'Equinox' which involves the protagonist Jim becoming stranded in an isolated rural location. The shots reminded me of the shots of natural environments, which are both beautiful and threatening, in many of the folk horror films I have analysed such as 'Starve Acre', 'Enys Men', 'Midsommar' and 'The Wicker Man'.

'Nature' Footage - Establishing Shots

I filmed hours of footage both inside and outside Cliveden House, getting the shots on my shot list but also lots of extra shots that I might be able to use when editing. It was such a great location that I didn't want to waste the opportunity of being there, so I filmed many extra shots.

I also filmed many shots of my protagonist Jim at college, such as the one below in front of the tree, which implies that he has succumbed to the cult and is worshipping nature.
