'Equinox' - Finished Opening Scene

Here is the completed opening sequence for my folk horror film 'Equinox', which I have uploaded to YouTube. 

'Equinox' - Opening Sequence

As you can see I have included the conventions I found when analysing opening sequences at the start of my Blog, incorporating production company idents, title cards, introducing key characters, establishing setting and creating enigma.

My title cards include the names of the production companies but also the names of the film's stars, the key crew members and the title of the film. 

I have also incorporated many of the key conventions of genre that I researched when looking at folk horror opening sequences. These include a driving montage to highlight how isolated the location is, a rural setting, sinister music (a ballad, reflective of the genre) and hints that the female character, Brigid, may be hiding something. I have also used fonts in the titles which is reflective of genre.
