Foundation Portfolio Coursework Brief - Film Opening Sequence

For my foundation coursework I will be creating the opening sequence for an imaginary film from a genre of my choice. The opening sequence will last approximately two minutes and will include titles, such as the names of production companies, actors, prominent members of the crew (including the director) and the name of the film.

I will be conducting research into existing film opening sequences and once I have decided on my genre I will look at the ways that opening sequences use genre conventions to create meaning for the audience.

I will also plan the filming and editing of my opening scene and record all of my research and planning on this blog.
