Analysing Opening Scenes 2 - 'Get Out'

The next opening sequence I am going to look at is from the horror film 'Get Out' directed by Jordan Peele.

The opening scene contains the following typical conventions:

• Production company logos/idents (Universal, Blumhouse, OC Entertainment)
• Introduces setting - a mysterious, dark street and, later, the isolated setting indicated by the trees
• Titles - including the names of production companies and the film's director - 'A Jordan Peele Film'
• Creates enigma as the audience are not introduced to any characters initially (though the two central characters do appear towards the end of the scene), nor understand what the situation is 
• Frightening score and low-key lighting help to establish genre (horror)
• More title cards including the film title 'Get Out', followed by names of actors
